Jim Sharp is a Canadian-born DJ and producer based in London, UK, known for his work across Hip-Hop, funk and soul, particularly his edits, remixes and productions for 7-inch vinyl.

Originally from the Toronto area, Sharp grew up listening to East Coast Hip-Hop and began DJing in the early 1990s. He moved to London in 2003, where he continued developing as a DJ and taught himself music production. He subsequently held London DJ residencies and hosted a radio show on Itch FM.

Sharp initially released music under the name J.Bold, including The Transatlantic Accent EP, which was named a "Sureplayer Hip-Hop single of the month" by DJ Magazine. He later moved into a more club-oriented sound, releasing Champion Junglist Sound on T&A Records and remixes of artists including Talib Kweli, Wiley and Sway.

Returning increasingly to Hip-Hop, funk and soul, Sharp became particularly associated with vinyl edits and reworks. His releases have appeared on labels including Dusty Donuts, GAMM and Resense, with numerous limited-edition 7-inch releases. His 2025 GAMM release Cornbread / 2000TwentyFoe, for example, reworked material by Anthony Hamilton, Donny Hathaway and Common.

One of Sharp's notable projects was Midnight Marauders Revisited, created around the 20th anniversary of A Tribe Called Quest's Midnight Marauders. Using an MPC and turntable, he rebuilt tracks from the original samples and incorporated vocals associated with artists including Nas, Biz Markie and The Notorious B.I.G.

As a DJ, Sharp has performed alongside artists including Skratch Bastid, Talib Kweli, DJ Premier and Rich Medina, and his edits have received support from DJs including DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Nu-Mark and Kenny Dope. His sets are built around vinyl 45s and digital formats, incorporating his own edits, remixes and productions.

Sharp continues to release music and DJ mixes, including Funk N' Beats Vol. 9, Made featuring Marlon Craft, One Question (Jim Sharp Remix) and the Straighten It Out DJ mix series.
