The song later found new life in hip-hop when Public Enemy sampled its rhythm and melodic phrasing on “Show ’Em Whatcha Got” (1988), using its rich instrumentation as the backbone for their politically charged sound collage on It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back.
