Two essential cuts from Don Blackman’s self-titled 1982 debut, bringing together jazz-funk, soulful vocals and irresistible boogie grooves. Heart’s Desire delivers an uplifting blend of shimmering keyboards, infectious rhythms and smooth modern-funk energy, while Holding You, Loving You is a deep, mellow soul classic with a rich groove that has made it a favourite among rare-groove DJs and Hip-Hop producers.
Holding You, Loving You has been sampled by many artists including People Under The Stairs on their second album Question In The Form Of An Answer.
This Expansion 7-inch reissue pairs both tracks on one essential single for soul collectors, boogie enthusiasts and sample-hunting crate diggers.
