Dr. Dre / The Lady Of Rage - Nuthin' But A G Thang / Afro Puffs

Two heavyweight West Coast anthems brought together on one essential 7-inch. Dr. Dre’s “Nuthin’ But A G Thang,” featuring Snoop Dogg, helped define the G-funk sound with its laid-back bounce, rolling bassline and unmistakable groove, built around Leon Haywood’s 1975 funk classic “I Want’a Do Something Freaky to You.” Flip it over for The Lady Of Rage’s “Afro Puffs,” a hard-hitting Death Row classic produced by Dr. Dre and Daz Dillinger, with a commanding flow riding a darker, bass-heavy beat that samples Johnny “Guitar” Watson’s “Superman Lover.” Two defining moments from 90s Hip-Hop, this reissue is a must for West Coast heads, G-funk lovers and collectors after timeless, party-ready cuts on 7-inch.
