Hot Chocolate - Every 1's A Winner

A slick blend of British soul, funk and disco, “Every 1's A Winner” is one of Hot Chocolate’s most enduring dancefloor classics. Released in 1978, the track is driven by a deep, hypnotic bassline, crisp drums and Errol Brown’s distinctive vocals, with its distinctive processed guitar riff adding a signature edge to the groove. Its influence stretches into Hip-Hop and R&B, with the track’s unmistakable guitar sound later sampled by artists including Mary J. Blige on “Real Love” and Dr. Dre on “Let Me Ride.” An essential 7-inch for funk and soul collectors, disco DJs and crate diggers tracing the sounds that continue to shape modern music.
