Description:
A haunting deep-soul single that showcases Milton’s ability to convey heartbreak with quiet power. “So Blue (Without You)” features mournful strings, organ, and slow-burning horns, while “Poor Man” delivers a working-class lament with gospel overtones.

“So Blue (Without You)”’s melancholic intro and open drum section have appeared in multiple lo-fi and neo-soul productions, with DJ Jazzy Jeff and Tall Black Guy citing Milton’s Checker recordings as key sampling influences.
