Description:
Released on People Records (the James Brown imprint), “Me and My Baby Got a Good Thing Going” showcases Lyn Collins — the “Female Preacher” — at her fiery best. Backed by the JB’s, the track bursts with syncopated horns, snapping drums, and Collins’ commanding vocal presence. It balances funk grit and soulful warmth, exemplifying Brown’s knack for combining emotional truth with rhythmic precision.
