Montell Jordan / Ini Kamoze - This Is How We Do It / Here Comes The Hotstepper

Two irresistible 90s party anthems on one essential 7-inch. Montell Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It” delivers smooth R&B vocals over a laid-back Hip-Hop groove, built around a sample of Slick Rick’s “Children’s Story” and the unmistakable feel of West Coast party culture. Flip it over for Ini Kamoze’s “Here Comes The Hotstepper,” a dancehall crossover hit that took the world by storm in 1994, driven by its infectious “murderer” refrain and a rhythm rooted in classic Jamaican reggae. Two era-defining cuts that bridge R&B, Hip-Hop and dancehall, making this reissue a must for DJs, 90s music lovers and collectors of timeless party starters.
