The Funkadoobian says: Packaging

“Ready or Not” on its 7-inch single format captures the Fugees at their peak — a brilliant blend of Hip-Hop grit, soulful sampling, and melodic depth. The track’s haunting interpolation of the Delfonics’ classic gives it an instantly recognizable hook, while Lauryn Hill’s smooth yet powerful vocals contrast perfectly with Wyclef Jean and Pras’s laid-back flows. The production is lush but economical, packing eerie strings and heavy beats into a concise vinyl-friendly runtime.
