Description:

All Wet is the sixth studio album by French musician and filmmaker Quentin Dupieux, better known by his stage name Mr. Oizo. Released on September 30, 2016, through Ed Banger Records, the album arrived as a new wave of recognition was being brought to the label and the "French touch" sound that he helped to pioneer. The album's cover features his iconic puppet creation, Flat Eric, a nostalgic nod to his 1999 hit "Flat Beat" and the Levi's commercial that made him an unlikely star.

The album's sound is a frenetic and eclectic mix of Dupieux's signature style: short, often jarring, and highly percussive electronic tracks that are more about mood and sound design than traditional song structure. The tracks are often described as "half-baked" or "half-finished" but are a testament to his unique, chaotic creative process. The sound is rooted in his love for raw, distorted electronic beats, often with a playful and cartoonish quality.

All Wet is notable for its extensive list of collaborations, a departure from his more solitary productions. This album features a range of artists from different genres and generations, including electro-pop star Charli XCX on "Hand in the Fire," German techno producer Boys Noize on "Ruhe," and the American EDM artist Skrillex on "End of the World." The collaboration with Skrillex, in particular, was a meeting of two different eras of electronic music, with Dupieux calling Skrillex the best of the "new EDM generation" and Skrillex citing Mr. Oizo as a major influence. The album is a fun, chaotic, and often surprising journey into the mind of one of electronic music's most eccentric and innovative artists
