Description:
This 7” showcases Razzy Bailey’s unique position bridging Southern soul and country-tinged funk. “I Hate Hate” is a socially conscious funk anthem with sharp horns, deep bass, and a message of unity and peace — echoing the post-Vietnam and civil rights era mood. The B-side, “Singing Other People’s Songs,” leans more toward soul-infused country, featuring heartfelt vocals and a gospel-style rhythm section that highlight Bailey’s versatility.

“I Hate Hate” has seen a revival among Northern Soul DJs and funk collectors, its message and groove aligning with the renewed interest in socially aware funk 45s.
