A-Side – Better B-Ready
Suckaside flips a legendary early-'90s West Coast hip-hop party track into a break-heavy DJ weapon. Tough drums, warm bass and Suckaside’s trademark approach to breaks give the original a fresh, dancefloor-ready feel while retaining the instantly recognisable character of the source. At around 90 BPM, it’s a slower, heavy-grooving cut designed to drop neatly into a DJ set.
B-Side – Waiting For A Daydream
Baller takes the B-side in an East Coast direction, blending classic hip-hop with a catchy R&B hook. Tough drums and the soulful vocal element give the edit a different flavour from the A-side, creating a nice contrast between streetwise hip-hop beats and smoother soul/R&B textures. The track runs at around 92 BPM and is built with DJs firmly in mind.
Legacy & Influence
Baller Beats 003 forms part of the label's inaugural 7-inch series, which focuses on DJ-friendly edits across hip-hop, funk, soul, R&B, house and disco. With Suckaside representing the West Coast on the A-side and label owner Baller taking the East Coast-inspired B-side, the record works as a compact showcase of two different approaches to classic hip-hop reworking. The release comes on black vinyl with a small hole and colour centre artwork in a white sleeve.
Each record is meticulously cleaned and stored separately in a brand new polyligned inner sleeve, paired with its cover in a protective outer sleeve. All orders are shipped in designated heavy-duty vinyl shipping cartons, sealed with premium quality PVC tape and clearly marked as Fragile Vinyl Records to ensure safe passage to your door.
