The arrangement also nods to Boris Gardiner’s interpretation, with the groove pushed firmly towards the b-boy and breakbeat crowd. This 7-inch is particularly appealing to crate diggers because it connects two generations of funk: an extremely obscure Florida soul-funk recording on the A-side and a recognised Booker T. \u0026amp; The M.G.’s classic on the flip.
