Description:
A monster double-sider for funk collectors. “Sexy Coffee Pot” by Tony Alvon & The Belairs is a raw instrumental funk groove with an infectious bassline, razor-sharp horns, and hard, syncopated drums — pure breakbeat gold and NM 1st pressings usually sell for upwards of $300.

On the flip, United 8’s “Getting Uptown (To Get Down)” delivers a smoother but equally tight slice of street-funk, layered with brass stabs and deep groove sensibility and these OG’s in NM condition can reach up to $100.

“Sexy Coffee Pot” is one of the most sampled funk breaks of all time, used by the likes of the Beastie Boys, DJ Shadow and Public Enemy, with special mentions going to Cypress Hill on Real Estate from their debut self-titled album ‘Cypress Hill’, Del the Funky Homosapien on the title track of his 2nd album ‘No Need for Alarm’ and Eric B. & Rakim on Run for Cover from their 3rd album ‘Let The Rhythm Hit 'Em’.

Its unmistakable drum break has made it a staple in Hip-Hop production and DJ scratch routines. The single has become a holy grail for funk 45 collectors and a benchmark in crate-digging culture.
