Description:
Led by American-born vocalist Wess Johnson, Wess & The Airedales were an Italian soul-funk band known for their high-energy stage presence and crossover appeal. “Black Out” captures their tight rhythm section, horn-driven groove, and Wess’s soulful delivery — a perfect blend of American funk stylings and European pop sophistication.

Though relatively under-the-radar outside Italy, “Black Out” became a cult favorite among European rare groove DJs and modern funk collectors. The track’s infectious, cinematic funk has been rediscovered through compilations like Sister Funk Volume 2 and Cinematic Italian Groove.
